Be gracious to me, O God,
According to your steadfast love;
According to your abundant mercy
Wash me thoroughly and cleanse me of my sin.
I know my sin, it is every before me.
It is against you that I have sinned,
I have done evil in your sight.
Your desire for me is truth,
Therefore teach me your wisdom.
Wash the sin from me, so that all may know your truth.
Create in my a clean heart,
And put a new spirit within me.
Allow me to remain in your presence
So that I might always know your Holy Spirit.
Restore me O Lord,
Deliver me from the temptations before me.
For you are the God of my salvation.
I desire nothing but to praise you;
To worship you in a spirit of truth.
Let my worship be an offering to you,
May my living honour you.
Be gracious to me, O God,
For I give thanks for your steadfast love. Amen.
