Loving God, as our children return to school we ask that you will watch over them. Keep them safe during this time of excitement and new opportunity. Bless the friendships they make, encourage them in learning and allow them to question the world around them. We give thanks for teachers and care-givers, for their patience and calling in life. Allow the enthusiasm they bring to the subjects they teach and those to whom they teach to overflow. Grant them patience and kindness as all learn and grow together. We remember parents who will drop their children off at school, some for the first time and others having done it countless times before. We give thanks that our children have the freedom to learn, question and grow. Bless them and encourage them in their learning. In the name of the Christ, Amen.
