You’ve heard the expression before: Actions speak louder than words.
It is an expression about getting the job done, rather than sitting around and talking about the jobs that need doing.
What would life be like if we were told not to talk about what your plans are or what you had seen. What options would this leave you with? How would you communicate what you had seen and heard?
Action.
As a follower of Christ how do you balance talking about Jesus and doing what he commands?
Text: Mark 9: 2-9
Questions to Consider for Sunday:
- Have you ever what what you would describe as a mountain top experience?
- Was Peter wrong for wanting to build tents for Jesus, Elijah and Moses?
- Why do you think Jesus ask Peter, James and John to keep silent about what they saw?
Prayer for Sunday:
Heavenly Father, I long to dwell with you on the mountain top and to experience your splendor. As I travel through the hills and valleys of life allow me to always remember the hope that you have shown me in Jesus Christ. Amen.
