Which commandment is first of all?
The Lord our God, the Lord is one; you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
The second is this, you shall love your neighbour as yourself.
How often do we get this one right? In our daily walk is God first on our mind? Do we love our neighbour, that is anyone we meet, in an open manor?
In Mark’s gospel we read that Jesus says that these two things are the most important things. However, are they the two most important things that are discussed in church? How often are these sidelined as other important issues are dealt with? Are those issues dealt with in the light of the greatest commandment?
