The Journey Down the Mountain
The Journey Down the Mountain
Transfiguration Sunday sets us up for the season of Lent. A time to prepare ourselves for the journey towards Jerusalem and the events of Holy Week. In many ways we might view the journey down the mountain taken by Peter, James, and John as symbolic of the time we spend during Lent. A time which will end with the good news of the resurrection.
Scripture: Matthew 17: 1-9
